When our team designed this building, I ensured it was safe from seismic activity and high winds, structurally sound from the ground up, and met all customer requirements.
Interestingly, the clients for this project wanted to maximize the light entering the home, so the window and glass door spaces were enlarged, which resulted in unique challenges such as; protecting it from thieves, protecting the shadows, guaranteeing good cooling and the quality of comfort, as well as an excellent combination between steel and concrete.

T&R’s
T&R utilized a Structural Design system encompassing Shear Walls, lightweight roof systems, and the absence of columns. This design was used because it saved costs, provided great structural endurance, and could be molded to provide overhangs required for the client’s need to maximize openings and windows. The engineers worked closely and intricately to translate the relatively new construction techniques to the literacy of the local construction team.
